About Gawria
My name is Gabriele, the hands and heart behind Gawria. My creative journey began long ago in Lithuania, where I was born. Growing up surrounded by grey streets and buildings, I craved color and found it in my imagination—translating ideas onto paper through drawings. For the longest time, I believed I was destined to be a painter. I pursued graphic art at university, but in my fourth year, everything changed.
A spontaneous three-week escape to a colorful Morocco turned into eight years of adventure after I met a beautiful stranger who later became my husband. He had the presence of a shaman—long dark hair, deep eyes, and a magnetic energy I couldn't resist. Through him, I discovered crystals, energy, spirituality, and, after many deep conversations, a newfound belief in God.
After six wonderful years together, he gifted me crystals and wire, encouraging me to wrap them. My first designs were imperfect, but he saw potential. More importantly, I felt something profound—the kind of creative flow where time disappears. I kept wrapping, refining, and evolving, until I found myself lost for hours at my work table, hands shaping wire into intricate forms, my fingers numb but my soul full.
And so, Gawria was born—a manifestation of my journey, passion, and the magic of creation. But beyond jewelry, I also hold a deep love for animals. That’s why 10% of all profits from Gawria go directly toward feeding and caring for Morocco’s street animals. Rather than donating to organizations, I personally buy food and ensure it reaches those in need. Every piece of jewelry carries not just creativity and intention, but also kindness and compassion for the voiceless.
